We've added several new classes and events that you won't want to miss (click on the underlined names for more information)....
You asked for it and now it's here..... a new event we're simply calling !UFO! Sew-In (a very descriptive quilters term for "Unfinished Objects"). Our first !UFO! Sew-In is scheduled for Thursday, April 29th. So look through your stash and find one of those projects you have never finished - whether quilting, embroidery, or sewing. This is your chance to bring new life to an old project. You will have our expert staff, which is worth the $5.00 sign up fee. You will have irons, AccuQuilt, the HQ16 Sit-Down machine, large tables to spread out and Elna presses available for your use. You can drop in at any time from 10:30am - 8:00pm and stay as long as you like. Is this quilt heaven or what!
Strip Club returns in May, with sign-up during the month of April! Joan has done a great job developing this next quilt and you won't want to miss out! Both the fabric and the quilt are on display now.....
For all of you HandiQuilter owners and wannabe's, we have a new class that premier's Saturday, April 24th from 12:00 noon - 2:00pm., the HQ QuiltCAD/PatternCAD Class. This class will be taught by Doris Davis and is sure to be a popular addition.
Sandra's Embroidery Club groups have grown and now there are four! Each Club meets once a month, and delighst in learning new techniques and exploring new possibilities as they share their projects, resources and inspirations. Show & Tell is an important part of each meeting, followed by monthly demonstrations.
Sandra is also our software guru for embroideries and embroidery programs... If you need help with your embroideries - whether software, stabilizers, threads or machine issues - come in and talk with her, I'm certain she'll be able to help you out.....
It's not too late to join one of Jenelle's HoopSisters EmbroidaBlock classes. You'll be using your embroidery machine to make a beautiful quilt....
Helga continues with her applique classes- whether it's used in quilting or to enhance your techniques in fashion sewing or even home decor. She has scheduled several Applique classes - both Hand & Machine.
Elleta has scheduled another class series of Quilting Basics which will begin in May, the series is a perfect way to learn the basics for anyone who is new to quilting. It is also a great way to brush up on the best practices and techinques for quilting..
Jeanne & Joan are scheduling one-on-one training sessions for anyone who would like to rent time on the HandiQuilter. After completing the class, you can rent time to quilt your own quilts on any of our 4 HandiQuilter machines. So, if you have a few UFO's (unfinished objects) waiting to be completed, call the shop at 770 831-7990 to schedule your class and then book a time to finish up those projects!
