Color Mastery for Any Quilter -

Learn how you can master the color in your quilts using the ten principles outlined in Maria’s book, Color Mastery:  10 Principles for Creating Stunning Quilts.  Even if you’ve tried color theory before and were unsuccessful, Maria guarantees you’ll be able to make gorgeous quilts after taking this hands-on class where you do color exercises with your fabric stash.

There is no sewing required during this workshop.

This workshop is perfect for Beginner to Advanced levels of Quilting experience.

We've added several new events that you won't want to miss (click on the underlined names for more information)....

Sandra's Embroidery Club groups have grown and now there are three!  Each Club meets once a month, and delight in learning new techniques and exploring new possibilities as they share their projects, resources and inspirations. Show & Tell is an important part of each meeting, followed by monthly demonstrations.

We are delighted to bring you another Jenny Haskins event!  Many of you attended last year and loved every minute of the demos.  In January, Janet Taylor returns for both a demo and a workshop.  Janet and Sandra are both licenced Jenny Haskins Instructors, and I know that you'll love this event

Sandra is also our software guru for embroideries and embroidery programs...   If you need help with your embroideries - whether software, stabilizers, threads or machine issues -  come in and talk with her, I'm certain she'll be able to help you out.....

We're adding a new Block-Of-The-Month program that starts in January, but this one is quite different.  This is the HoopSisters EmbroidaBlock, and the quilt you will be creating with your embroidery machine is quite stunning!  You will be amazed that you use your embroidery machine to make this beautiful quilt.  Jennelle will be teaching this program.

Strip Club returns in February, with sign-up during the month of January!  Joan is also very busy developing this next quilt and you won't want to miss out!   Both the fabric and the quilt will be on display during January.....

Helga continues with her applique classes- whether it's used in quilting or to enhance your techniques in fashion sewing or even home decor.  She has scheduled several  Applique classes - both Hand & Machine.

Helga will also be teaching another of her very popular T-Shirt Quilt class series.  T-shirt quilts make such perfect gifts, especially for graduates!  So start thinking of the special ones in your life who would love to have their own personalized t-shirt quilt.

Elleta has scheduled another class series of  Quilting Basics which will begin in January, the series is a perfect way to learn the basics for anyone who is new to quilting.  It is also a great way to brush up on the best practices and techinques for quilting.  she's also scheduled another Sweatshirt Jacket Conversion series.

Jeanne & Joan are scheduling one-on-one training sessions for anyone who would like to rent time on the HandiQuilter.  After completing the class, you can rent time to quilt your own quilts on any of our 4 HandiQuilter machines.  So, if you have a few UFO's (unfinished objects) waiting to be completed, call the shop at 770 831-7990 to schedule your class and then book a time to finish up those projects!

Introducing a new way to quilt......
Spoolin Around

Georgia Sewing & Quilting in now an authorized dealer for the HoopSisters line of products:

EmbroidaBlock - the 21st Century method of Quilting!

EmbroidaBlock is an innovative and fun technique that gives even the new quilter professional looking results with every block. Our unique look combines piecing with embroidery to produce a look of elegance and add interest to your quilts. Not only will each block be perfect but the technique also requires minimal cutting and little or no math. Let your embroidery machine do all the work for you, from piecing to beautiful decorative stitches and gorgeous all over embroidery. From a distance some areas of your quilt look like printed fabric but up close it takes on a whole new dimension with all over embroidery motifs stitched in well thought out places.

New quilters say "EmbroidaBlock is easy to learn... easy to use... and it eliminates the frustration associated with traditional quilting"....

Expert quilters say "Using the EmbroidaBlock technique and my Embroidery machine the possibilities are endless"...
